Dr. Tonya Houpe, Principal

Dr. Houpe is a passionate and dedicated principal who brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to student success to her leadership role. With years of experience as an educator and administrator, she has made it her mission to create a supportive and nurturing environment where students and staff can thrive. Known for her love of working with students and teachers, Dr. Houpe is focused on fostering a positive school culture that promotes academic excellence, personal growth, and collaboration.

Dr. Houpe holds a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from UNC-Charlotte, a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Gardner-Webb University, a Certificate in School Administration from Appalachian State University, an Educational Specialist Degree from Wingate University, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Wingate University.  

Dr. Houpe believes that strong partnerships between families and schools are essential to building a strong foundation for every child's future success, for whatever path they choose in their future. She is committed to working closely with parents and the community to ensure that each student is empowered to reach their full potential. She values open communication and believes in creating a welcoming atmosphere where all voices are heard and respected.
