Title 1 Sharon qualifies as a Title I school because the percentage of students receiving free or reduced meals is higher than the district average. Currently Sharon's free and reduced meals percentage is 74%. As a Title I school Sharon receives some federal funding for supplies and materials and parent engagement activities. A Title I Plan to spend this money is created with input from staff and parents at the beginning of every school year. The Title I Plan is normally reviewed at the September PTO meeting and as part of the beginning of year Family Night.
